Succulents
Savvy succulents are all the rage!  And why shouldn’t they be? They are beautiful, simple to pair and require almost no care. All succulents require very little water and a surprising number of them can also perform well in low light situations.  At Rabbit Shadow, we have a large selection of both indoor and outdoor succulent plants and we’d be happy to help you design a beautiful container for your home or patio.

Here are some of our favorite indoor succulents (which also make nice patio containers in the summer):

electric glo

Electric Glo
A soft pink edge creates a delicate outline for the two-tone leaves which are blue-green at the base and become pink at the tip. Single rosettes are most common, but older plants will produce multiples. This succulent will grow to 6-8” tall.  Plant in full or part sun.

Fine Gold Leaf Stonecrop
This lovely spreading succulent sparkles with miniature bright gold leaves that gather in tiny clumps to form a dense mat of color. This plant grows to 2-3” tall. Plant in full or part sun.

Happy Young Lady
This Happy Young Lady has great form, with a well-branching habit of multiple main shoots and several side shoots. The flattened, tube-shaped leaves are medium green with a grey powder finish and lightly pointed maroon leaf tips. This succulent grows to 18”-24” tall.  Plant in full or part sun.

Large Red Carpet Stonecrop
A beautiful spreading succulent with red-edged foliage. This plant gets to be approximately 4” tall and produces yellow flowers in the fall.  Plant in full sun.

perle von nurnberg

Perle Von Nurnberg
A beautiful gem of a plant featuring symmetrical rosettes of grey leaves with rose and lavender highlights. This succulent grows to 6-12” tall and produces coral-colored flowers in the spring. Plant in full or part sun.

sovereign blue

Sovereign Blue
The handsome green leaves of Sovereign Blue have a blue cast and are very shiny. This plant grows to be 2-4” tall.  Plant in full or part sun.
